Here is an original pastel drawing by popular San Antonio artist Ronney Stevens.
Horse and rider are as one, captured for all time, as they smartly take this jump. In "The Equestrian", you can see the rippling muscles as the horse takes the jump. You feel the wind that's pushing the pennants. You feel the warm sunshine. You feel the bond between horse and rider, cemented through love and dedication to the sport.
This pastel is mounted in a rustic wooden frame measuring 28-by-22 inches. Donated by Art by Ronney, "The Equestrian" would be a welcome addition to the wall of any horse lover.
